We at XYZ, are proud to offer our customers the Automatic Coil Slitting Machine. This machine is designed to provide a precise and accurate slitting of coils of different sizes. It is made of stainless steel and is highly durable and reliable. The Automatic Coil Slitting Machine is capable of automatically slitting a coil into several pieces of equal size with great accuracy and efficiency. It is easy to use and maintain and requires minimal operator intervention. The machine is equipped with a safety guard to protect the operator from any potential harm. It is powered by a 220 Volt power supply and is backed by a warranty for complete peace of mind. The Automatic Coil Slitting Machine is ideal for use in a variety of industries including construction, automotive, and aerospace. It can be used to quickly and accurately slit coils of different sizes into several pieces of equal size. It is highly efficient and can handle a large volume of work in a short period of time.

An Automatic Coil Slitting Machine is a highly automated industrial processing line that takes a wide, master coil of material (such as metal, plastic, or paper) and precisely cuts it into several narrower, smaller-width strips or "mults". The entire process, from uncoiling to recoiling the final strips, is integrated into a single, continuous, and efficient automated workflow.
Core function
At its core, a slitting machine functions as a shearing process. It feeds the material from a large coil through a set of circular, rotary blades mounted on parallel arbors. The blades create longitudinal cuts along the entire length of the material, separating it into the desired number of smaller strips. The machine then rewinds these strips onto separate, smaller recoils.
Key process stages
  • Uncoiling: The process begins with a coil car, which loads the heavy master coil onto an uncoiler. The uncoiler, using an expandable mandrel, grips the coil by its inner diameter and controls the speed and tension as the material unwinds.
  • Leveling and tensioning: As the material unwinds, it passes through a series of straightening or pinch rolls to remove any surface imperfections or distortions. A tensioning device ensures the material is held taut and aligned properly before entering the slitting head.
  • Slitting: The material is fed into the slitting head, where circular knives, often controlled by an automatic system, precisely cut the coil into narrower strips. The knives can be adjusted to create strips of various widths, based on the specifications of the final product.
  • Scrap winding: The narrow excess material from the edges of the coil is automatically wound onto scrap winders and removed from the production area.
  • Recoiling: The newly cut, narrower strips are then rewound onto a recoiler, with a separator unit and tensioning device ensuring the individual strips are kept neat and tightly coiled.
  • Unloading: Finally, the finished, smaller recoils are pushed off the machine and prepared for shipment
